Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is the assessment, management, and treatment of conditions related to the pelvic floor and its surrounding structures, including the muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments of the low back, abdomen, pelvis, and hips.
The pelvic floor muscles sit within the pelvis as a hammock to support our organs. In addition, their functions include bladder and bowel control, sexual health, circulation, and, importantly, core strength.
Dysfunction may arise if our pelvic floor muscles are underactive, or overactive.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy Treatments focus on the body as a whole with the goal of bringing it back into balance. The focus is to gently release the tension from muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, fascia and organs, providing freedom for proper communication between the nervous system, circulatory system and even the lymphatic system.
Every treatment is customized to each individual based on their needs. Osteopathy Treatments will alleviate your symptoms while also simultaneously treating their cause, getting to the root of your pain.
** During your treatment you will remain fully clothed so we ask that you wear loose clothing that is easy to move in (ladies please no dresses or skirts).

Using gentle hands-on techniques, we aim to restore balance and harmony within a child's body, supporting their natural healing processes. Our skilled practitioners understand the unique needs of growing bodies and are trained to identify and treat musculoskeletal imbalances, tensions, and other underlying issues that may impact a child's overall health and development.
Children's Massage Therapy (5-12yrs of age)

Warm Bamboo Massage
**NOT TO BE BOOKED IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR THINK YOU MAY BE PREGNANT**
Warm Bamboo Fusion Massage is a therapeutic treatment that utilizes smooth, warm bamboo sticks of varying lengths and widths to deliver a deeply relaxing and effective massage experience. Throughout the session, the bamboo sticks are heated in a specialized heating pad, ensuring they remain at a soothing temperature tailored to your comfort level.
This innovative technique allows the therapist to perform a versatile range of massage strokes, from gentle, relaxing movements to more intense, deep tissue work, depending on your specific needs and preferences. The bamboo sticks are carefully selected to suit different areas of the body, enabling precise and effective treatment. The warmth of the bamboo helps to enhance circulation and promote deep muscle relaxation, making it particularly effective for relieving stress, tension, and tight muscles.
Many patients describe the Warm Bamboo Fusion Massage as not only extremely relaxing but also highly beneficial for addressing stubborn knots and areas of muscle tightness. Whether you're seeking relief from chronic muscle pain or simply looking to unwind, this treatment offers a perfect balance of relaxation and therapeutic benefits.
Hot Stone Massage
During a Hot Stone Massage, our patients can expect the ultimate relaxation experience. Heated basalt stones are placed upon various pressure points along the body, while also used to directly massage away muscle tension. The combination of heat and massage, causes an increase in circulation, promotes muscle relaxation and helps to restore balance to the body.
Graston Technique
Graston Technique® (GT) is successful in effectively treating all soft tissue conditions, whether they are chronic, acute or post surgical. The non-invasive technique uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to help the clinician identify and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. GT allows a clinician to get as deep into the tissue as necessary to invoke change, yet be sensitive to patient pain and tolerance. As the instruments are moved over the affected area and come in contact with the adhesions, they help break up scar tissue and fascial restrictions. In time, this process will reduce or eliminate the adhered fibers, restoring range of motion and eliminating the associated pain. It will help transform your soft tissue injury into healthy functioning tissue.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
**PLEASE NOTE: Due to limited availability, MLD treatments are only available for those who require it due to surgery, lymphedema, auto-immune disorders or medical conditions where specific symptoms need to be addressed. We are NOT currently taking new patients seeking MLD for Wellness/Detox/Bloating concerns. Thank you!
Manual Lymph drainage is a gentle, relaxing, and pain free therapy, which assists lymph flow and aids in tissue drainage. The techniques mainly involve stretching, pumping, and torqueing the skin in specific directions, in order for the interstitial fluid to travel to the lymph nodes.
Manual lymph drainage is most commonly known to help treat and maintain lymphedema, where the lymphatic system has been damaged from birth or caused by trauma/surgery/radiotherapy, active malignancy, or chronic venous insufficiency. Combined Decongestive Therapy includes manual lymph drainage, compression, exercise, skin care, and education in self-management.
Acupuncture
**NOTE: Acupuncture at Zen is performed by an RMT under the Scope of Practice of an RMT and will be billed under your Massage Therapy Coverage. We CANNOT BILL under Acupuncture Coverage**
Acupuncture helps to relax tense muscles, increase healthy blood flow to an injury site, promote healing, and increase the release of our bodies’ own natural pain killers. When done properly, acupuncture should be pain free. Most people who are afraid of needles are surprised at how little they feel during a treatment, and are even more surprised with the level of pain relief and relaxation that can be achieved with this powerful therapy.
